About: As part of the Design Deliverables class in my MFA program, I was the project lead for my cohort to produce world-building assets (centering persona creation) for a mock think tank client, “Futures Think!,” to be used for a series of futurecasting workshops.
George’s World (prompt): “Thirty years from now, all children, from birth, are guaranteed a reasonable right to privacy, especially concerning the use and acquisition of their data and their image. At the age of 18, each person must decide which particular aspects of this privacy they wish to extend into their adult lives. Within this world, a young woman named George is approaching her 18th birthday, and soon, she’ll be making the most important decision of her life.”
The Process: As the lead, I guided our cohort to:
Establish alignment about our design considerations i.e. persona framework.
Create three draft personas for our professor’s consideration.
Conduct a design sprint to identify asset choices and begin the creation process, informed by their ideas.
Create a deck to present our world-building assets.
