Community Plaza Murals
[Placemaking, May-Sept 2025]

Overview: Received a $1k grant from the City of Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture + Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) to host pop-up events for the community to design, paint, and engage with others as we made our own temporary murals at plazas and gathering spaces around the city.

About: During the summer, I hosted four temporary mural / live painting activities in community plazas and spaces. This opportunity resulted in the creation of multiple pieces (locations displayed TBD), with ~275 community members engaged. Additionally, it was an opportunity to expand on the foundation of my thesis work and strengthen my individual creative practice through woodworking and painting.
